I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 24th Jan'y, enclosing an application
from Messrs Jamieson How & Co. for a Naval Force to be stationed abreast of their Houses
for protection from the depredation of Robbers.
These Gentlemen had made a former application to me, and were informed that the Guard Boat who visits the West Point Stores three times a night, should, both going and coming (which would make six times in the course of the night) visit their premises - which cannot
